Wellington’s Most Influential New Property
Whakamaru is an historic new development by the Wellington City Mission. It’s designed to reshape the way we support and care for our community.
Whakamaru is a name gifted by mana whenua, meaning “to shelter and to protect”. It will be a life-changing intervention; for the people who need the service, but more so for the people who come to help.
Whakamaru represents the Mission’s commitment to not only respond to changing needs, but to bring about the transformation we all long for, allowing us to support those in need, 24/7.
Lowe & Co is incredibly proud to help the Wellington City Mission raise awareness and drive donations for this incredible project, ensuring Wellingtonian’s feel a shared sense of ownership of Whakamaru.
All donations, no matter how big or small, will be gratefully accepted and assist the completion of this unique project. Donations will also be rewarded with a key to the building. It’s your chance to become a commemorative owner, and a small token of our gratitude to help get this project off the ground.
*Donations of $5 or more may qualify for a tax credit.
All donations, no matter how big or small, will be gratefully accepted.
Leading With Carbon Action in Our Community
We believe Lowe & Co is the first* Real Estate Agency in New Zealand to measure and action it’s carbon footprint.
Lowe & Co isn’t just passionate about helping you find your dream home in Wellington, we’re also passionate about protecting our planet for future generations. Working with CarbonInvoice, we have measured our entire carbon footprint and are actively working to compensate for and lower our emission.
CarbonInvoice’s software is built right here in Wellington and their measurement approach accords with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, which is the internationally accepted standard to measure and manage emissions.**
Along with internal carbon reduction initiatives, we are funding native trees to compensate for our carbon emissions, strengthen biodiversity and support local ecosystems to thrive.
